Extended Sabbatical Leave: Dr. Apilado

During the Regular UTS Faculty Meeting on January 10, 2005, Dr. Oscar S. Suarez, U.T.S. O.I.C. and P.C.C.L. president, announced the extension of the sabbatical leave of Dr. Mariano C. Apilado as V.P.T.E. of Union Theological Seminary to May 31, 2005. The decision was promulgated by the Commission on Theological Education during their meeting in December 2004. The first sabbatical leave started on December 1, 2003 to November 1, 2004, inclusive. Dr. Apilado was supposed to assume his responsibilities as V.P.T.E. on December 1, 2004. To date, the C.T.E. is still in quest for a new O.I.C. It must be remembered that Dr. Anselmo Lupdag was designated as O.I.C. in December 2003 but resigned after several months in the office.
